One of the ways The Dwelling preaches the gospel is through the Baptismal Connection of showers.

Water is holy and restorative.

Recognizing the baptismal connections of access to a shower, the most basic human luxury, The Dwelling stewards a mobile shower ministry where persons experiencing homelessness are able to be washed and renewed as a reminder of their belovedness. There is healing and dignity that comes with the gift of water, and The Dwelling, with the help of local partners and volunteers, will be stewards of that gift.

Especially during this Covid-19 time, the mobile showers have become an essential way we are responding to the needs of our neighbors.

Extra donations for underwear, socks, t-shirts, and toiletries are especially appreciated at this time!

our shower trailer uses city water and propane to heat the water. a shower day with 30-40 guests accessing showers costs roughly $250.

consider collecting single-use toiletries as you travel or host a toiletry drive in your community.
